Andrea L. Simpson’s 2024 historical family saga The Covenant Keepers is complete at 96,000 words. Her biography Teacher With a Master Plan: California Superintendent of Public Instruction 1945-63 is a limited edition published in 2021 based on Roy E. Simpson’s unfinished autobiography and papers. Her numerous business and philanthropic articles have been published in national and international business magazines, and Hawaii and Pacific regional newspapers and magazines. Andrea is a member of the Historical Novel Society, The Author’s Guild, the Independent Writers of Southern California, and the Society of Children’s Writers and Illustrators. She is a graduate of the Yale Writer’s Workshop and UCLA and Stanford University writers courses.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Science in Systems Management/Information Systems from the University of Southern California. She served as vice president of corporate communications for Fortune 500 companies in Hawaii, Texas, and California. She was named Hawaii Public Relations Professional of the Year, Hawaii Advertising Woman of the Year, and was awarded PRSA’s Silver Anvil, the national PR profession’s Oscar, and the International Public Relations Association's Golden World Award.
Andrea is a descendant of the Faries, Farrie, and Colbert protagonists featured in The Covenant Keepers.
